offers internships to capable, self-starting students enrolled in educational credit-based programs. This is an excellent opportunity to gain skills and exposure to the nonprofit sector.

Workdays: Monday to Friday. Flexible schedule available during normal business hours. School holidays and vacations will be respected. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is necessary for all available positions.


With a focus on leadership and accountability, Common Good Vermont is a “go to” resource for nonprofit leaders to share resources, gain skills, build partnerships, and thrive. We provide online resources,  produce signature events, organize special issue “convenings”, and design collaborative initiatives with partners across the state. This is an opportunity to learn more about the nonprofit community in Vermont, develop new skills and hone existing ones, and to experience working in a small but friendly nonprofit organization.

  • Assist the Network Coordinator with all aspects of outreach and communication to Common Good Vermont’s network, including nonprofit leaders, and the general public.

  • Responsible for the compilation of the organization’s weekly electronic newsletter(s)

  • Copywriting for press releases, electronic alerts, memos, and materials

  • Support Common Good Vermont’s day-to-day social media outreach

  • Opportunity to contribute ‘long-form’ articles for the e-news on topics of interest to the sector

  • Research topics of importance for use in opinion pieces, talking points, etc.

  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelors Degree, recent college graduate or life-long learner

  • Excellent writing skills are required

  • Proven research skills

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter who can prioritize and manage projects and deadlines

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills
