Community Health Centers is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing medical, dental and mental health care to over 35,000 patients throughout Chittenden and southern Grand Isle counties. For over 50 years, CHC has been providing these services to all members of our community, regardless of financial status or life circumstance, with specialized programs for vulnerable populations.

Position Overview
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, more than half of CHC’s Board of Directors are active patients, living and working in our community.
A few key responsibilities for the CHC Board include:
Determining mission and purposes
Ensuring effective organizational planning
Monitoring and strengthening programs and services
If a full Board committee is not of interest, sub-committees welcome community members to join. These committees include: Governance, Clinical Practice, Community Relations & Development, Finance, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
