Empty Arms Vermont
Overview of Organization
Empty Arms Vermont provides peer support for families and individuals who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss, yet historically, very little support is available to help grieving families. Empty Arms is working to change this gap in our system of care. Founded in 2021, Empty Arms Vermont is run by a board of directors and two part-time staff members. Our programs include monthly peer support groups, in-person events, and tangible supports like care packages, weighted bears, and miscarriage support bags. Our partnership with a variety of hospitals, medical providers, therapists, etc., helps us connect families with our community-based support.
