October 21, 2020 @ 8:30 am – October 29, 2020 @ 11:00 am

The VT SHRM State Council is excited to invite you to participate in a two-part virtual education series on Cultivating Transgender Affirming Workplaces

Part 1:

Cultivating Transgender Affirming Workplaces is an introductory training designed to increase awareness of how human resource professionals can cultivate safer work environments for transgender, non-binary, and/or gender non-conforming employees across the state. The training will develop shared vocabulary and understanding of the LGBTQ+ acronym, uplift community strengths, and review the significance of pronouns. We will build common frameworks for understanding gender and sexuality, discuss the minority stress model and its implications for transgender people in the workplace, and highlight best practices and resources for Cultivating Transgender Affirming Workplaces.

This training is adapted from Pride Center of Vermont’s LGBTQ+ Best Practices Training which has been provided to over 1200 people this past year and has an average review of over 4.9/5.0 (based on a likelihood to recommend).
