One thing is for certain: this has been a time to try new things. You and your organization have new voices to tell new stories, using tools that are new (or perhaps new to you). So here’s an opportunity to ask for feedback from nonprofit peers on your in-process storytelling projects. In these dynamic and fun Project Kitchen exercises, we’ll form small groups and follow an established protocol for giving and receiving feedback on projects that could use helpful input. Examples could include: a time-sensitive social media campaign raising awareness for your mission; an appeal to help funders understand why they should support a new program you’ve developed to meet the changing needs of those you serve; or a video thanking your donors and volunteers for partnering with you. Presenters and responders alike will come away with valuable tips, ideas and examples to put to immediate use in their own marketing and storytelling efforts.
