AFP-NNE is excited to welcome you to the 2023 Fall Conference! Develop your capacity for active listening with keynote speaker Martha Schumacher, CFRE, ACFRE. Sharpen your fundraising skills with topics ranging from strategic plans and capital campaigns to websites and digital giving. We’ll think big and get specific, with plenty of time for questions. And don’t forget our National Philanthropy Day luncheon and awards, sponsored by Demont Associates, or our networking social with drinks and light apps before you head out to dinner in Vermont’s ultimate college town on the shores of Lake Champlain.

Beyond the 501(c)(3): Thinking Differently About Governance, Nonprofit Structure, and Social Change with Andy Robinson

10/26 | 8:30 AM
Our traditional model – the 501(c)(3) organization – is a legacy structure dating back more than a century. Does it still work in today’s world? If not, what are the alternatives? Join us for a provocative, interactive session where we consider a broad range of options: everything from modest tweaks to board composition to entirely different governance models and legal structures. Come learn about multiple examples from across the country. It’s my first time leading this workshop, so I’m excited to get your input.
