Come to this workshop on Saturday, March 29, 1:00 to 2:30 pm to learn about decentralized, self-governance structures for organizations.
Sociocracy is a dynamic self-governance system, which provides a set of methods and principles that can ensure shared power in your organization.
Sociocracy is based upon equality, transparency, consent, and effectiveness. It builds on decentralized authority and intentional processes to increase connection, listening, and co-creation among members of an organization.
In this 90 minute workshop, you’ll be introduced to the methods and principles of sociocracy so that you can compare them to the values that are important to you and your organization.
Eric Bachman will lead the workshop. He has many decades of experience working with social action groups, helping them improve their egalitarian decision-making processes, such as consensus. He has discovered that sociocracy offers so much more to such groups. He is a certified sociocracy practitioner and facilitator. His goal is to offer a workshop that is a learning experience for all participates.
The workshop is in-person and will take place in the Hunger Mountain Coop meeting room in Montpelier. Due to space issues it is limited to the first 20 participants who register. There is no fee for the workshop. Donations will be accepted.
