Common Good Vermont invites leaders from our state’s nonprofit and philanthropic communities to an important conversation about the recent federal actions disrupting federal funding and impacting on our sector and the people we serve. The call will be an opportunity for nonprofits and funders to come together, discuss the challenges, and explore ways to collaborate as we move forward.
Potential Agenda:
- Updates on the latest federal funding changes
- Stories from the field: Insights from nonprofits on how they are responding to current challenges
- Stories from the field: Perspectives from philanthropic organizations on how they are navigating these changes
- Small group discussions: What resources or actions would be most helpful for your organization during this period?
- Report-out from small groups
- Next steps and ongoing collaboration
Recent and anticipated federal policy changes are creating significant operational, financial, and programmatic challenges across Vermont’s nonprofit sector. The impact is felt throughout Vermont, especially by nonprofits that are already dealing with high demand and operational constraints. This is a time for us to come together and support one another through collaboration, flexibility, and innovative solutions so we can ensure that essential services continue to reach those who need them most.
