Who’s really responsible for employee burnout? Spoiler alert: It’s not HR!
But there’s a lot HR can do to address and prevent burnout. This 90-minute workshop breaks it down and includes evidence-based (but counter-intuitive) ways to minimize burnout and its impact in the workplace.
This workshop has been designed to build behaviors associated with SHRM’s Leadership & Navigation BASK Competency with a specific emphasis on ways to:
- Empower employees.
- Motivate stakeholders.
- Reduce feelings of burnout.
- Advocate for employees.
- Eliminate excessive coddling of employees.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Eradicate burnout and its damaging effects on productivity;
- Teach managers and employees how to recognize and address the symptoms of burnout before it’s too late;
- Learn the differences between supporting employee well-being and coddling employees in unproductive ways;
- Get the surefire solution for maintaining high levels of engagement and low levels of burnout (even when short-staffed!); and
- Separate the myths and misperceptions about burnout from the real symptoms and solutions.
This program is valid for 1.5 PDCs for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP®. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.
