Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Director of Events and Development will be to support donor relationships and fundraising events. This position will work with collaboration, support and oversight from the Executive Director.  You will play a vital role in helping Adaptive Sports Partners’ athletes to achieve their recreational goals by bringing the broader community together in support of the organization’s mission. You will join a team that is deeply committed to serving the community and sharing their passion for sport and recreation.

Areas of Responsibility:

Planning, implementing and overseeing all signature fundraising events; creating a timeline, agenda, budget, marketing materials, soliciting and managing event sponsors, ticket sales, in-kind donations, venue, décor, volunteers, vendors, etc.
Manage data input, export, and organization of Adaptive Sports Partners’ fundraising and event databases
Coordinate, train, and supervise volunteers that support fundraising events
Work to cultivate and sustain strong donor relationships across giving sectors
Creating, planning, and managing fundraising campaigns such as Annual Giving Campaigns, a Planned Giving Program, Giving Tuesday, and others as needed.
Assisting with the marketing, branding and communications for the organization, utilizing experience with marketing, public relations, direct mail, internet and social media solicitation
Maintaining an accurate database of prospects, individual donor, foundation, corporate and donor related information for use to support all development campaigns
Representing Adaptive Sports Partners in a positive and professional manner
Completing other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, which may include executive correspondence, outreach/awareness activities, public relations, marketing, social media and website management
Take on other duties and projects as identified


Experience in fundraising, events, marketing, or related fields preferred.
Experience with non-profit best practices and data management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with key stakeholders and the Adaptive Sports Partners’ community
Highly developed organizational and time management skills including the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.
Understanding of and support for the Adaptive Sports Partners’ mission.
Strong commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Experience utilizing CRM databases particularly NeonCRM
Eager to engage with a team and enjoy outdoor activities.
Compensation: Salary starting at $40,000 – DOE

Hours: Typically Monday – Friday except with special events; Events will include weekend and occasional evening work
