BROC Community Action is looking for an individual with hands on experience in Bookkeeping.

The candidate must be extremely detail-oriented and organized. General office, technology and interpersonal communication skills required, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, and work independently.


Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Accounts Receivable and Payable, and Payroll

Daily General Ledger input (Receipts, Recurring, and Adjusting entries) *Bi-Monthly Review and Reconciliation of Payroll

Payroll Tax Preparation and Payments

AP Review and payment authorization

Standard & Recurring GL Entries

Cash Reconciliations

AR Review

Quarterly GL Account Reconciliations

Process all Payroll Levy and Garnishments


Education, credentials, and experience qualifications

Associate degree in accounting or business administration, or minimum 2-3 years equivalent business experience, ideally with a community-based organization.

Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.

Experience with computerized accounting software is essential and grant funding helpful.

Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.


Occupational qualifications

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
