The Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE), based in Hardwick, VT, seeks an Accounting Coordinator to support organization-wide accounting and financial systems. This role is tasked with all daily accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, as well as supporting program and grant reporting. The Accounting Coordinator will assist with the overall maintenance of financial systems in compliance with applicable state and federal policies and GAAP principles.
This position is a great match for someone good with numbers, comfortable with computers, enjoys solving puzzles, seeing the route through a problem to a solution, and creating and improving processes. Position: Accounting Coordinator
Reports to: Financial Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9-5, at least 50% of time on site in Hardwick
Compensation: $45,000-$55,0000 annual salary at 40 hrs a week (option of a 32 hr work week)

At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, particularly Excel
Proficiency with Quickbooks Desktop preferred
Familiarity with GAAP
Experience with handling sensitive information with discretion
