The Housing Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the Housing Advocacy Programs (HAP) educational offerings and provides tenant education and coaching. They are responsible for curriculum development and evaluation; work with other HAP education and outreach staff to deliver in-person and online rights and responsibilities workshops; coordinate the on-demand courses; provide oversight and support to community partners utilizing CVOEO housing education materials; and provide back-up coverage for the tenant hotline and direct service to clients as needed.

The Housing Education Coordinator supports the mission of HAP and CVOEO in furtherance of justice and empowerment of low-income people and people in protected classes. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in education or human services plus two to four years related experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired. Skilled at conducting trainings / workshops with diverse groups. Public speaking or workshop presentation experience desired. Experience with educational curriculum design for adults desired. Familiarity with issues facing economically disadvantaged, low-income, and multi-cultural / ethnically diverse populations is needed. Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus. Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
