Outreach and Education Coordinator

The Clarina Howard Nichols Center is seeking a full-time (36 hours/4-day workweek) Outreach & Education Coordinator. Responsibilities:

* Partner intensively with one middle and/or high school to implement a comprehensive sexual violence prevention program

* Engage and support youth as leaders in the development and implementation of prevention and education efforts

* Raise awareness about Clarina’s services by participating in community events, distributing information, creating marketing materials, and organizing events and activities

* Research existing education materials and curricula and develop new materials as needed

* Maintain Clarina’s online presence including website and social media

* Participate in advocacy services including hotline coverage, supporting shelter guests, and staff backup rotation

Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, knowledge of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking, knowledge of prevention strategies, desire to work with and support youth as leaders, strong public speaking skills, dynamic and outgoing personality, ability to work independently and as part of a team, website/social media management, and a commitment to upholding confidentiality.
