Donor Manager
The Donor Manager supports the fundraising efforts of the Good Samaritan Haven. This team member is responsible for managing the database and donor relations with an ability to focus on both big picture needs and the smallest details. This position requires comfort and experience with technology as well as an ability to be congenial and effective with both staff and donors.
The successful candidate will be professional and have a demonstrated commitment to Good Samaritan Haven. The Donor Manager reports to the Executive Director works closely with the development team and collaboratively with all staff.
Qualifications
Experience working in fund development with an emphasis on donor database
Keen sense of accuracy, painstaking attention to details
Curiosity, ability to research
Creativity, ability to develop fresh materials
Excellent organizational and writing skills
High level of motivation
Effectively manage multiple priorities
Ability to grasp the big picture
Beauty and excellence in all things – the font matters, the punctuation matters, etc.
Analytic capabilities, fluency in Google Docs and sheets; Excel; graphic design skills
Understanding of philanthropy, best practices
Primary Job Responsibilities
Oversee the fundraising database — timely, accurately entered donations and other key data; updating donor entries
Generate thank you letters, frequently specialized
Create and develop reports, for accountability and data-based decision making
Assist in organizing and managing two major appeals annually
Oversee social media postings related to fund development. Collect stories, photos to use in postings and other marketing
Format e-blasts, ensuring accuracy
Keep website updated, especially donor page and special events
Work with fundraising volunteers
Liaison with shelter staff re special donations
Oversee municipality funding requests
Carry out administrative duties as directed
Assist with foundation funding support
Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and integrity
Position Details:
Full-time position, though willing to consider candidates who want to work 30 hours. Flextime. During covid work will be performed remotely. After, the job will require some time in the office along with remote work. Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. Salary range $36,000 – $44,000
