FLSA Status: Part-Time Hourly, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Flexible Scheduling Between Monday-Friday (25-27 hours per week), some remote work possible

Reports To: CEO

Supervises: None

Primary Responsibilities:

This position will support Habitat’s fundraising goal by grant writing. Position duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Support Habitat for Humanity ideals and mission through participation in and accomplishment of our organizational goals.
  • Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate, foundation and civic grants.
  • Compile necessary information for the application process through collaboration with other employees, database research, and other fact-finding actions and meetings.
  • Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to write, prepare, submit and manage grant proposals to potential funders.
  • Comply with all grant reporting as required by grant donors.
  • Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation of programs and projects that are funded by grants.
  • Develop and maintain master files on grants and paperwork connected to programs funded by grants.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in position-relevant field.
  • Grant writing or other business writing experience helpful.
  • Goal and team oriented, a positive attitude with a good sense of humor, good people skills with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task to meet deadlines with minimal supervision and work under pressure.
  • Strong computer skills including established proficiency and independent operation of Microsoft Office Suite and proper internet research and use. Ability to quickly learn and utilize donor management software. Competency in graphic design, publication software and social media applications helpful.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting pay range: $21 to 27$ an Hour. Initial compensation is determined based on the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience. Paid time off and a 20% staff discount at all the GMHFH ReStores.
