The Director of Crisis provides daily and strategic oversight of Howard Center’s crisis programs, including First Call for Chittenden County, Outreach Crisis Support, Adult Crisis Stabilization, and Mental Health Urgent Care.

As a senior leader, the Director of Crisis maintains community stakeholder relationships & guides policy to support needs of clients, staff, and programs in our system of care.

Responsibilities:

Provides leadership to the departments within the program
Supervises the leadership team and other Program supervisors
Maintains public relations, maintaining updated outreach and marketing materials
Promotes values of respect, inclusion, diversity and the de-stigmatization of mental health and substance use disorders
Upholds a culture of quality assurance and process improvement in crisis work ensuring regular data collection, defining outcome measurements, and internal and external reporting
Represents the agency in State meetings and other venues, participating in agency, local and statewide forums on many mental health issues as well as legislative/grant activities and training opportunities that relate to crisis services

Requirements:

Master’s degree in a related field
Five years’ experience in related field
Three years of supervisory and management experience
Clinical Licensure required; Vermont license eligible
QMHP credential required within 6 months of hire
Valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle

Full time (37.5 hours)

Salary starting at $99,529
