Southeastern Vermont Community Action (SEVCA) is a non-profit Community Action Agency whose mission is to empower individuals and communities to alleviate the effects of poverty in Windham and Windsor Counties of Vermont.

SEVCA seeks a strategic, compassionate, compliance-focused HR Director to oversee all HR operations. The HR Director will align HR initiatives with organizational goals, drive talent management, ensure compliance with employment laws, and foster a healthy, inclusive workplace.  This is an in-person / in-office position, based at our headquarters in Westminster, VT.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with senior leadership on staffing, recruiting, retention, compensation, benefits, and health and safety strategies; Oversee HR programs related to compensation, benefits, employee wellness, training, and performance management; Lead recruitment efforts, develop talent management protocols, and coordinate job postings with communications; Conduct analysis of organizational trends and ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; Review and modify policies to maintain compliance and align with best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 5 yrs of HR management experience (including supervisory roles) or a relevant degree; Strong knowledge of employment laws and HRIS/talent management systems; Excellent leadership, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
