Position Title: Extended Day Program Staff
Description: Responsible for day-to-day activities and supervision of The Collaborative Extended Day Program/Afterschool
EDP hours: Part-time, 15 – 20 hours per week for the school year. Must be available every weekday afternoon, school calendar half days and some school vacations.
Location: Flood Brook School, Londonderry, VT – The Collaborative
Work Duties:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment and administer appropriate disciplinary procedures.
- Adhere to the Vermont Child Care Licensing Regulations and maintain or increase STARS rating.
- Participate in team meetings, training and orientation.
- Work as a team with other staff and program volunteers.
- Provide participants with the appropriate leadership during the program.
- Develop and plan activities that incorporate program goals into the daily routine.
- Provide a warm and caring atmosphere for participants.
- Prepare and facilitate activities that are developmentally appropriate for the age of the children.
- Communicate with the parents through daily drop-off and pick-up.
- Responsible for all activity, room preparations and clean-up for the program.
- Follow and enforce all safety policies. Assist with participant check-in/out.
- Prepare appropriate data collection, record keeping, and reporting functions of the program.
- Attend appropriate trainings to stay updated to site standards and VT Child Care Licensing Regulations.
- Perform other duties as directed.
