Job Summary/Objective:

Seeking a dedicated Executive Leadership team member to provide quality management, oversight, and improvement efforts agency wide with focus on and State regulatory requirements and to provide professional expertise and guidance with compliance related issues/risks and recommendations of mitigation for Developmental Disabilities Services as well as the Adult Service areas. This position will collaborate with leaders and internal teams across the organization to identify, implement, and evaluate opportunities for improvements that drive quality care and an excellent experience for individuals served by UVS.

Essential Functions:

*Provide expertise and support to leaders and teams related to quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
*Research and support best practice methodology and innovative practices that achieve high quality outcome result.
*Lead investigations into significant quality issues; facilitate identification of root cause and development of appropriate corrective and preventive actions; ensure reporting of potential or confirmed violations to regulatory authorities.
*Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures, as necessary.
*Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
*Analysis and recommendations of staff development and training through committee participation.
*Participate as member of the Clinical Review Team and its function.
*Monitors the activities and outcomes aligned with the Quality Improvement Plan.
*Perform and oversee internal technical reviews/audits.
*Responsible for management and facilitation of external audits.
*Utilizing data to analyze, develop, and implement improvement activities to increase compliance rates as measured by national, state, and agency benchmarks.
*Coordinate training on quality improvement initiatives and facilitates changes to workflows.
*Report on a regular basis at leadership and related committee meetings.
*Act as a resource to senior leadership and program directors in the development, collection and reporting of clinical and operational measures to improve monitoring, compliance, and quality care.
*Maintain a working knowledge of performance measurement standards and requirements related to Vermont Designated agencies.
*Participate in state and industry association performance outcomes and metrics initiatives and work groups.
*Coordinate State Designation and VCP Centers of Excellence processes, and other accreditation efforts as needed.
*Monitor and integrate state and federal population health with UVS outcome reporting, including the Master Grant and Accountable Care Organization measures.
*Supervise staff key to quality assurance and improvement initiatives.


*BA/BS degree preferred in Human Services or related field with at least 4 years of related leadership and/or administrative experience.
*5-10 years of experience in disability services, health services and/or supervisory management.
*Advanced knowledge in the conduct and reporting of audits and the translation of findings into corrective actions plans that mitigate safety, integrity, and data risks to the organization.
*Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and ability to think and act quickly to identify creative solutions to complex problems.
*Strong technical writing skills; able to write quality positions, audit reports, and procedures.
*Excellent communication skills with ability to educate, negotiate and influence.
*Strong discernment and project management decision-making skills; able to manage multiple projects and demanding timelines.
*Superior attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data.
*Ability to supervise others effectively and productively.
*Effective computer skills and data management.

 Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel to various meetings and/or audits, including overnight trips.
*Requires approximately 30% travel.
*Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, insurance meeting the Agency’s   standards, and ability to travel to meet the demands of assigned tasks


*Full time, 40 hours/week
