Common Good Vermont is pleased to share this event hosted by the Vermont Arts Council.

How can artists and creatives help shape Vermont’s future through civic engagement? This panel workshop brings together current and former legislators with deep roots in the creative sector for a conversation about pathways to public service and the importance of having creatives at the policymaking table. Panelists will share stories and advice, and participants will leave with a personal action plan for civic engagement, be it running for office or serving on local boards and commissions.

The Presenters:

Emily Carris-Duncan, Vermont State Representative, Windham-6

Zon Eastes, Vermont State Representative, Windham-1

John Killacky, Former Vermont State Representative

Robert McBride, Founder, The Rockingham Arts and Museum Project

This event is in-person from 2 pm to 4 pm on December 4, 2025. More information and registration can be found here.
