Overview of Organization
For over thirty years, Essex CHIPS (Community Health Initiatives & Programs for Students) has provided direct service programs for youth and their families in Essex Junction, Essex Town, and Westford. By facilitating partnerships with local organizations and businesses, we are able to host and sponsor substance use education, community outreach programs, discussions, and special events for youth. This after school program, and biweekly teen nights provide a safe space for youth to enjoy a variety of fun and educational activities. Our Board of Directors is represented by youth and adult community members from a variety of sectors.
Our mission is to support, engage, inspire, and empower youth to make healthy decisions and become active community members and leaders.

Position Overview
The Treasurer works with a paid fiscal director to assure procedures are in place to receive and give receipts for moneys due and payable to Essex CHIPS from any source and review procedures for deposit of all such moneys and shall review with fiscal director all financial reports and review same with fellow board members. The treasurer is involved in all business of the organization as well including fundraising, community outreach and planning.
