With the guiding vision that everyone is a part of a healthy, safe, and supportive community, and a mission to empower healthy youth, families, and communities, The Collaborative has been operating as a 501c3 nonprofit serving Windham, Windsor, and Bennington counties in Vermont since 1999.
Today, 26 years after its formation, The Collaborative has a staff of 12. We provide programming and resources to local families and community organizations through a range of services, including a licensed and accredited after school program and summer camp, substance education services in area schools, prevention programming expertise, fiscal agency support for local organizations, and sub-grant funding for agencies providing prevention services.

Position Overview
The Collaborative’s work is guided by a dedicated 6-member Board of Trustees, comprised of educators, community planners, health and government professionals, and small business owners. Over the past 5 years, we’ve experienced significant organizational growth, now managing an annual operating budget of approximately $2 million.
To support this growth and ensure continued legal and ethical integrity and compliance, The Collaborative seeks to recruit a mission-aligned legal professional to join our Board of Trustees.
