Upper Valley Services Board of Directors Member

Position Overview

As a Board of Directors (BOD) member you will be supporting a designated intellectual and developmental disabilities agency with a 40-year history. Based in Orange County with locations in Bradford, Essex, Moretown, and Randolph Upper Valley Services (UVS) provides lifetime community-based support for individuals with developmental disabilities and adults who qualify for a nursing home level of care by offering a comprehensive range of person-centered services tailored to individual needs, values and choices so that they may live their best lives.

To ensure UVS can be responsive to the needs and perspectives of those we serve, the BOD is primarily, but not exclusively, made up of members with lived experience or those with varied backgrounds that have close ties to the population. The board has a maximum membership of not less than 5 members and not more than 9.

Responsibilities:
• Committee Service is not required
• May Hold Officer Roles
• Monthly Meeting – 4th Tuesday of the month in Randolph or via Zoom
• One Annual Retreat of 1 or 2 full Days
• Approval of Annual Program Budget
• Review Financial Reports
• Review Agency Executive Director Reports
• Estimate 4 hours of service per month outside of meetings

We are seeking as many as 3 new members with possible marketing, business/financial management, non-profit or fund-raising backgrounds.
