About this event

Nonprofits leaders need a strategy to find and keep board members who: care about the cause, have the needed or missing skills, understand their role, and can commit time and resources. All too often, organizations settle for two or three of these desired qualities. This workshop will review key strategies around board recruitment and board member retention. It will deconstruct the process needed to build an effective and diverse leadership team that can work together to fulfill a collective set of responsibilities and help the nonprofit achieve its mission.

This training is targeted to Executive Directors, Development Directors, Board Chairs, and Board Nominating/Governance Committee Chairs responsible for recruiting effective board members. It will include engaging interactive elements and a robust Q&A. Growth for Good’s board job description checklist will be provided to all registrants.
