Common Good VT invites nonprofits from across the state to join us in Montpelier on April 22nd for Nonprofit Legislative Day 2025 to celebrate our nonprofit sector, learn from each other, and inform legislators concerning the vital activities of Vermont’s nonprofits.
This day of education, connection and action will include:
- Panel discussion with sector advocates and allies
- Overview of Common Good Vermont’s 2025 Policy Priorities for nonprofits
- Opportunities to learn about and engage with the legislative process
- Conversations with policymakers
Advocacy Toolkit
To help you prepare for Nonprofit Legislative Day, we will provide each registrant with an advocacy toolkit detailing:
- An introduction to nonprofit advocacy
- Key talking points
- Resources to navigating the Vermont legislature
- Tips for meeting and engaging with legislators
- How to prepare ahead of time and bring with you to make the most of your time at the State House

- 8:00-9:00 AM Coffee & Networking (Location: State House Cafeteria, 115 State Street, Montpelier)
- 10:00 AM Welcome/Orientation, Panel Discussion (Location: Snelling Room, Pavilion State Office Building, 109 State Street, Montpelier)
