Middlebury Community Music Center | Middlebury, Vermont
20–30 hours/week | Hourly range: $22-24/hr

Middlebury Community Music Center is looking for a creative communications professional with strong graphic design skills to take ownership of our day-to-day marketing and communications and help us tell the story of a remarkable musical community.

This is a role for someone who likes both ideas and execution: someone who can create beautiful work and is organized enough to make sure the work actually happens.

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will help drive MCMC’s marketing calendar and campaigns; create original digital and print design; produce social media, newsletters, email and website communications; find and tell stories about our students, faculty, families and impact; and help expand MCMC’s visibility through community partnerships, public relations, donor storytelling and new ideas.

We’re particularly interested in someone who combines strong visual design, excellent communication, and exceptional organization. Professional experience with Adobe Creative Suite or comparable design software is important. Additional strengths might include illustration, photography/video, PR, social media, nonprofit communications, or experience in the arts.

We’re imagining approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience, but we’re interested in demonstrated skill, the whole person, and the perspective you’ll bring.

Regular on-site work in Middlebury is an important part of the position. The role offers meaningful ownership, close collaboration with MCMC’s leadership and program team, and room for professional growth.

To apply: Please email [email protected] a resume, brief note of interest, and portfolio or samples of relevant design and communications work.
