Milton Artists’ Guild (MAG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting local artists. It provides a platform for artists to showcase their work, offers educational programs, and fosters a vibrant arts community in Milton Vermont.

MAG is looking for a bookkeeper to monitor and ensure all aspects of our finances are current and follow MAG policy. The ideal candidate would work a hybrid schedule meeting at the gallery once per week. Up to 10 hours/week. Starting at $25/hr.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Record daily financial transactions timely, accurately and efficiently.

·       Process accounts payable and receivable.

·       Reconcile bank statements.

·       Prepare financial reports on a monthly and adhoc basis.

·       Process payroll through QuickBooks Full-Service.

·       Process artists commissions monthly.

·       Assist with year-end closing and tax return preparation.

·       Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

 

Qualifications:

·       Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a similar industry.

·       Proficiency in QuickBooks Online accounting software.

·       Strong understanding of accounting principle within for-profit and non-profit settings.

·       Excellent organizational and time management skills.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Highly detail-oriented and accurate.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
