Purpose of Position
Join the Common Good Vermont (CGVT) team and play a crucial role in supporting Vermont’s nonprofit sector statewide. As the “go-to” resource for mission-driven organizations, CGVT is seeking an individual with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset to lead the launch and growth of a membership model. This role aims to strengthen the nonprofit community by facilitating resource sharing, skill-building, and strategic partnerships.
The VISTA Member will be engaged with a wide range of nonprofits in Vermont, including those working on housing and homelessness, food security, the arts and downtowns, land conservation, and social justice and equity. We offer a collaborative work environment and will work to ensure that the VISTA Member has rewarding professional experience.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
- Support the CGVT team in developing and operationalizing a plan for launching and growing a sustainable membership model for CGVT.
- Develop and implement engagement strategies to attract and grow CGVT’s membership base.
- Research tools and strategies to enhance the benefits and value proposition for CGVT members.
- Conduct grant research to support membership program.
Qualifications
- Available to start August 1st, 2024 (position starts August 1st, 2024, and ends July 31st, 2025, with the possibility to renew for another 12-month term).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess skills in the following areas: Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, community engagement, project management, collaboration. Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Passion for Vermont’s nonprofit sector
