Nonprofit leaders and development professionals looking to elevate their organization’s fundraising efforts are invited to apply for the 2025 Fundraising & Development Certificate Program. This comprehensive online training runs from February 13 to July 10, 2025, and provides an in-depth exploration of essential fundraising strategies and skills.
The program is designed to demystify the complexities of fundraising, offering participants the tools and confidence needed to enhance their organization’s development initiatives. Through a blend of interactive trainings, peer-learning sessions, and expert feedback, attendees will gain valuable insights and practical experience.
Chris Maggiolo, Deputy Executive Director at Black River Innovation Campus, says: “The Fundraising and Development Certificate Program gave me essential skills and confidence. A few months after graduating, I helped my organization secure a significant grant from a family fund to support a two-year pilot project. The frameworks shared during the certificate program were invaluable to making this success possible.”
Program highlights include the development of a strategic fundraising plan, allowing participants to create or refine their organization’s approach to fundraising and development. Participants will also engage in hands-on training, enabling them to master the intricacies of fundraising for nonprofits of various sizes. Additionally, the program offers opportunities for professional networking, allowing participants to connect with fellow nonprofit professionals from across Vermont and New England.
Program details include six virtual interactive training. Each session covers essential topics such as fundraising appeals, donor relations, proposal and grant writing, database management, and campaign strategies. Participants will also benefit from additional features like peer-learning groups, conversation circles, independent assignments, and access to a Strategic Development Planning Guidebook.
Participants Will Gain:
- A personalized development plan.
- A network of nonprofit professionals.
- A Strategic Development Planning Guidebook with templates and checklists.
