To engage and educate voters prior to Vermont’s November 3rd General Election, Town Meeting TV presents a series of live election forums featuring candidates for statewide and local offices, from the top to the bottom of the ticket. All candidates listed on the ballot are invited to participate.
The Vermont Governor forum will be hosted and moderated in collaboration with Common Good Vermont and Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR). Common Good Vermont will also host and moderate the VT Lieutenant Governor forum.
Forums for Vermont Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer, State’s Attorney, Auditor of Accounts, Chittenden County House and Senate, as well as Chittenden County Sheriff and High Bailiff candidates will be hosted and moderated by Town Meeting TV.
All forums will be held at the Town Meeting TV Studios, located at 294 North Winooski Avenue in Burlington. Forums will air live on Town Meeting TV’s cable channels, Comcast 1087, Burlington Telecom 17 and 217, and on YouTube.com/TownMeetingTV.
Viewers are encouraged to submit questions during live events by calling the studio at (802) 862-3966. Election Forum Moderators will also ask prepared questions. Moderators of election forums are volunteers who represent a wide swath of the community. The Town Meeting TV studio is open to in-person, live attendance by the press and members of the public.
Forums on Statewide Propositions 3 and 4 will take place in October.
Town Meeting TV will host a live Election Results Show on Tuesday, November 3rd, at 7:30 p.m.
