SBP, a national disaster response and recovery nonprofit based out of New Orleans, has added capacity this year to place AmeriCorps members at host sites with Vermont organizations that use support in recovery and/or preparedness.
The AmeriCorps Placement Site Program places service members in communities across the country to increase disaster resilience and helps return disaster-impacted families and individuals to safe, sanitary, and secure housing. They also support clients with FEMA applications and appeals to ensure these individuals receive the maximum benefit they are owed to rebuild.
