Common Good Vermont is pleased to partner on this event hosted by the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.
When you were growing up, did your school do fire drills? Most of us never had a large fire, but we rehearsed the evacuation so that if the unthinkable did happen, we would know exactly what to do. And our schools also installed fire extinguishers, alarms, and other protections. The emergency plan was comprehensive, and it considered how people and tools would engage and respond should the need arise.
Scenario planning prepares your nonprofit for addressing emergencies and disruptions with confidence instead of fear. Put measures in place now to protect and monitor your data. If your data gets hacked or seized, you will be ready to respond swiftly and systematically.
Join a panel of tech, legal, and nonprofit specialists for a conversation that will illuminate proactively protecting the data you hold–especially on behalf of vulnerable constituents.
Anticipated Learning Outcomes:
- Understanding what cybersecurity attacks and data seizures can look like, their impact, and how to prevent them
- Building capacity to create data incident response plans
- Gaining insight on legal obligations and how to engage with legal professionals for support if an incident occurs
The format of this workshop will be both presentational and conversational with time for participant story sharing and questions
