The SHRM Vermont State Council has announced the opening of nominations for two prestigious awards: the Dolly Shaw Vermont Human Resources Professional of the Year and the Vermont Emerging Human Resources Professional of the Year. These awards aim to recognize exceptional HR professionals who have made significant contributions to their field and demonstrated outstanding performance. Nominations can be submitted through the official website until Friday, July 26th, 2024, and will be reviewed by a committee of former award winners.
The Dolly Shaw Vermont Human Resources Professional of the Year Award is geared towards HR professionals with typically ten years of experience and current SHRM Chapter membership. Nominees should demonstrate exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, innovation, and a tangible impact on business outcomes through their HR strategies. The award also recognizes contributions to the organization, industry, and community, as well as embodiment of high professional standards.
The Vermont Emerging Human Resources Professional of the Year Award celebrates HR professionals who are newer to the field but have already shown great promise. Typically, nominees should have less than ten years of HR experience and be current SHRM Chapter members. This award seeks individuals who bring innovative thinking to problem-solving, have significantly impacted their organization’s HR function, and excel in applying HR principles. Both award recipients will be honored at the annual SHRM Vermont State Conference on September 12th, 2024, in Burlington, VT.
