For three years, Common Good Vermont hosted the Vermont Gives Day of Giving. After much consideration, we have decided not to bring back Vermont Gives as a Day of Giving or Community Giving Website during the 2020 pandemic.
In year’s past Vermont Gives has served as a valuable tool to unite Vermont’s nonprofits and build awareness for our sector; however, in the time of COVID-19 we are not sure it is not prudent to encourage nonprofits to allocate your limited time and resources to an additional campaign or day of giving.
#GivingTuesdayNow May 5th, 2020
If your organization is interested in participating in a day of giving, #GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving on May 5, 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020 #GivingTuesdayNow– as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. GiveGab Waives Fees for Fundraising Campaigns
While we are not hosting Vermont Gives, the Givegab platform that we used in the past to host Vermont Gives continues to be an affordable option for online giving. GiveGab is waiving the subscription fee for their peer-to-peer fundraising suite for nonprofits and schools through June 30, 2020, when you sign up to create a fundraising campaign before #GivingTuesdayNow on May 5. Any platform fees not covered by your donors will be donated back to you by GiveGab as part of this effort. Learn more.
