Common Good VT Releases 2020 Vermont Nonprofit Wages & Benefits Report

South Burlington, VT:  Common Good Vermont is pleased to release the Vermont Edition of the 2020 Report on Nonprofit Wages & Benefits in Northern New England.    Common Good Vermont partners with the NH Center for Nonprofits and Maine Association of Nonprofits to collect the latest data on wages and benefits from our tri-state area.  Each state produces a state-specific report on wages and benefits based on the data collected in this survey. The 2020 Vermont Edition provides Vermont’s nonprofit professionals with salary and benefits benchmarks for 32 full and part-time positions from 111 Vermont nonprofits and 632 Northern New England nonprofits who contributed to the report’s data.

“Even before the pandemic, hiring and retaining workers is one of the biggest challenges we face as nonprofits. The report tells an important and deeply informative story about the health and viability of our sector, including best practices to help you make decisions in your organization. This year’s survey includes additional COVID-19 data to help nonprofits and Vermont leaders discuss the impacts of the pandemic,” said Morgan Webster, Director Common Good Vermont.

The intent of the report is to provide nonprofit board and staff leaders with a tool to help launch conversations on human resource management, recruitment, retention and satisfaction: How do I put my organization’s compensation level in perspective for the IRS and general public? How should I set pay and benefits for new hires? Where can I find objective salary information for my board?

The digital report is free to nonprofits who participated in the 2020 survey and available for $125 for all others.

The next survey will be in the Spring of 2022.
