New Tool to Support Local Businesses

Many are familiar with CSAs, or Community Supported Agriculture, where an upfront investment buys you into a supply of fresh, local food later in the year. The CSA model is so successful, it has spread to other local types of businesses like general stores, bookstores, bakeries, and others. With help from the Northern Border Regional Commission, the Preservation Trust of Vermont is offering grants to create or strengthen Community Supported Enterprise in Vermont’s six northern counties. Applications are due November 21. For more information, visit the website or contact Jenna Lapachinski.

Thank you, Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development. for sharing.
