Orange County Special Investigation Unit and Child Advocacy Center (OCSIUCAC) is accepting applications for a full time Program Coordinator. OCSIUCAC is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to minimize trauma to victims of child sexual abuse, physical abuse, and exposure to violence, as well as adult sexual assault and the exploitation of vulnerable adults along with their non-offending family members.

The Program Coordinator is a full-time, 35 hour per week, professional position charged with program development, maintaining the current Accreditation status of the agency under the National Children’s Alliance Standards for Accreditation and support the multi-disciplinary team in the investigative series through sharing the roles of the Victim Advocate and Forensic Interviewer.
Under the Direction of the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, The Program Coordinator will ensure the provision of a centralized child-friendly facility from which investigation and intervention activities are conducted. The focus of this position is to provide support, orientation and information to victims and their non-offending family members, and to coordinate services with partner agencies involved in the investigation, treatment and prosecution. This position provides consistent and comprehensive support services from the inception of a case, through investigations and prosecution, until the family has achieved access to all necessary support services to promote healing.

The Program Coordinator is also responsible for fundraising and community outreach maintaining external relationships with community members and MDT partners along with initiating prevention opportunities and education. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, management and communication skills, integrity, good judgment, good humor, and a strong commitment to the mission of the organization.

The right candidate will be certified in the National Children’s Advocacy Center Forensic Interviewing and Victim Advocacy model or willing to complete the certification upon hire and prior to providing the service.

At least two years of experience in working with children and families and a bachelor’s degree are required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
