Special Kickoff Opportunity for Nonprofits: On-Demand Project Assistance from St. Michael’s College

From St. Michael’s College:

St. Michael’s College is excited to launch its new Micro-Internships program with a gift to Vermont’s nonprofit community – and you can be a part of it! If you have a professional project that could use assistance, St. Mike’s Boucher Career Ed Center will fund your first Micro-Internship match.

Starting in March, St. Mike’s students will take on short-term paid work experiences through Parker Dewey Micro-Internships. These are brief professional projects you design (10-40 hours) that provide you with assistance-on-demand while allowing current students to flex their skills, explore career paths, and expand their professional networks. It’s a great opportunity to help a young person build their rèsumè while also getting a project knocked off your to-do list! You might even make a connection that could someday turn into a permanent hire.

Many Micro-Internships are virtual. Examples of useful projects might include event planning, a social media plan, content creation, data analysis, funding research, graphic design, or newsletter production. Check out examples at https://www.parkerdewey.com/example-projects.

We think this can be a great asset for nonprofits so have decided to cover the cost for you to try it for free! Thanks to a generous donor, we’ll reimburse stipends paid to St. Michael’s students for kickoff projects for Vermont 501c3 organizations, up to a total of $400 per organization. (Kickoff projects are those posted by March 3, 2024 and completed by June 30, 2024.) After the kickoff ends, organizations will still be able to post projects and pair with St. Mike’s students anytime they are looking for targeted, affordable short-term help.
